These customized walks are intended for individuals or groups up to 15 people. You can pick a location anywhere within 50 miles of Ferndale, Washington. The rate is $25 per person with a minimum of 5 people. You can choose specific topics that you'd like to focus on or focus on everything that we see on the walk. 

The topics that we typically cover in our generalist walks are listed below. You can choose one or multiple topics for your walk:

  • Edible plants

  • Medicinal plants

  • Edible mushrooms

  • Medicinal mushrooms

  • Wildlife and their track and sign

  • Bird language and behavior

  • Ecological relationships (how all of the elements in the chosen ecosystem relate to one another)

  • Utilitarian plants (which are used to make baskets, cordage, tools etc.)

  • General plant identification
