These customized walks are intended for groups up to 15 people. You can pick a location anywhere within 50 miles of Bellingham, Washington. You can choose specific topics that you'd like extra focus on, or just request a general naturalist walk!
The topics that we typically cover in our generalist walks are listed below. You can choose one or multiple topics for your walk:
Edible plants
Medicinal plants
Wildlife and their track and sign
Bird language and behavior
Ecological relationships (how all of the elements in the chosen ecosystem relate to one another)
Utilitarian plants (which are used to make baskets, cordage, tools etc.)
General plant identification
Human management practices, past and present
Cost: $25 per person for the first three hours. After the first three hours, the cost increases by forty dollars for the whole group for each additional hour.
