Cost: $900 with a $300 deposit (remaining balance due first day of class)
This intensive wildlife tracking course is intended to give students a broad exposure to species found in Washington's three major ecoregions and help them prepare and practice for tracking evaluations. This class can help students of all skill levels improve their tracking and observational skills.
This course includes a total of three weekends in the following areas: western washington lowlands/cascade foothills, central washington shrub-steppe and eastern cascade forests. The course will include full field days as well as additional evening sessions studying materials such as skulls, feathers, animal behavioral ecology, nests and bird pellets. We will be studying a diverse variety of tracks and sign during our field outings, as well as including wildlife observation as part of the study of tracking. The classes will include a variety of printed study materials to assist with deepening knowledge and to serve as study references.
