We will meet up high in the North Cascades and venture down to the canyon lands of the Sagebrush Stepp for an abundant berry harvest then make an array of wild berry concoctions!
What we will harvest: wild blueberries and huckleberries, blue elderberries, and chokecherries. Possibly king boletes is the weather permits!
What we will make: Wild fermented berry vinegars with guest teacher Gabe Garms. Elderberry syrups with the addition of immune boosting and anti-viral herbs we have harvested in previous classes. Plus traditional pounded chokecherry cakes that we dry as an ingredient for our fall feast in October.
We will also go swimming at my favorite spot near by.
