We will start this weekend harvesting int the canyons by my home and end up in the high alpine mountains of the North Cascades. ( Exact location will be given after registration)
What we will harvest: Cattails and Tule for weaving , plus more rhizomes for flour. Alpine roots, sweet root, sharp tooth angelica, Sitka valerian and possibly porcini’s and hedgehogs.
What we will process and create. We will process cattail leaves and tule for weaving, participants need to make sure they have extra space in their car to transport these home. More cattail flour for an ingredient for our fall feast in October. Then we will process the potent fall roots in to medicines for winter wellness, participants will need to bring their own jars and solvents for take home medicines.
